Hero gave me a present today. A pack of two pairs of fingerless gloves in a very stylish and practical airforce blue. To avoid confusion the ones that she bought herself were a fetching crimson. They were very gratefully received, a great ally against the bitter winds. There are many good things about this present. Firstly they contain a percentage of Spandex and to a gal of a certain age this is always a good thing; no more embarrassing flabby palm incidents. Secondly the label was pink and featured a cute lambsy creature. Lastly, and most significantly, they are not only “magic” (we are yet to find out what these powers are but will keep you informed) and “strecth” (although I am not certain what that means is bound to be good).
