Eucryphia x nymansensis

Imagine a 15m high tree, imagine it covered from head to toe in a zillion bee-filled perfectly simple white flowers, then you are imagining Eucryphia x nymansensis.  It is looking at its best at the moment after to be honest looking a little dodgy after the harsh winter.   It is, I believe, Bossman’s favorite thing in the garden, and who would blame him?

We planted Eucryphia lucida “Ballerina” last year.  It is 25cm high and, greeted with much excitement by all, had two perfect pink flowers this year, one of which fell off almost immediately.  Upwards and onwards.
