Primula vulgaris subsp. sibthorpii – Sibthorp’s Primula

Primula sipthorpiiA damp start to the day but the persistent showers we were expecting came to nothing.  An unprepossessing kind of day; neither good nor particularly bad; rather dull really.  I suppose every day can’t be a carnival.

This Primula vulgaris subsp. sibthorpii, basking in the low morning sun, doesn’t care either way.

  1. The Primula looks so fresh and springlike. They’re tough and don’t ask for any pampering at all.

    • The perfect garden plant! Has spring sprung with you yet?

      • Yes! The blossoming trees are starting to do their thing and there are daffodils blooming. Only thing is, we’ve been having a lot of rain. I’m happy to say, it’s sunny right now, but I don’t think it will last long enough for me to mow the lawn.

  2. Bruggies

I love your mixture of technical detail and comment Picture also encourages me to think of better weather and spring
