New Friends

Grindelia chiloensisWe had a diverse selection of visitors today; fortunately all of them were extremely appreciative (great), charming (even better) and honest (best).  They included some Devon folk who sat and ate their sandwiches before asking “just one more question” many times; a Cornish couple who had been advised that Cliffe was worth a look by some Americans they had met on the hill (thanks to them for their kind words); and a Swiss pair who were delightful – funny and interesting and even helped me with the watering, but forgot to bring chocolate.  Well you can’t have everything.

These Grindelia chiloensis were shining bright on the road bank, back-lit by the late afternoon sun.
