Lobelia bridgesii (not)

Lobelia (1024x683)This isn’t Lobelia bridgesii. Up until about half an hour ago I thought it was. I have no idea what it is.  It could be Lobelia excelsa.  Someone out there is bound to know.  Apologies to all those I have misinformed.  Just goes to prove I know absolutely diddly squat.

It does look quite similar to an image of Lobelia exelsa on Dave’s Garden website, http://davesgarden.com/guides/pf/showimage/137818/, if that is any help. My husband and I visited Cliffe Garden last Friday and thought you knew a great deal more than diddly squat! it was lovely to meet you and we really enjoyed our visit. I have not forgotten I promised you a Euphorbia when we next visit.

    • Hello Karen, I just found you in the spam box so sorry for the delay in answering. Thanks for that, it does look the same doesn’t it! I think it is time to make a new label. It was lovely to meet you both, hope the cuttings survived the journey and am looking forward to my euphorbia. 🙂

  2. I am afraid I do not know the answer but it is an interesting plant none the less. 🙂

  3. I think it is Lobelia excelsa too. But you have to be a bit of a plant nerd to know that.
You know lots. You are a!ways dazzling us with your knowledge. I expect you said it was Lobelia bridgesii to test us and see if we were paying attention.

  4. A new one for me too, but it’s super. If diddly squat were a number it would be a very big one!
